hello, and welcome to this little space of mine.

i wanted a space to express the parts of me that are "rotting". a place for all things morbid, freakish, sexual, and disturbing.

here i will showcase my artwork, my writings, and talk about my curiousity and love for such things.

this site is a huge w.i.p. and constantly being worked on.

so why the name?

serpula lacrymans comes from the character lawrence oleander from "boyfriend to death", it was his canonical tumblr handle. i've always felt a heavy connection towards him as a character, but it also has a deeper meaning for me as well.

the fungus is near impossible to get rid of, and spreads like crazy. despite the name "dry rot", it actually does recquire water like any other fungi, though in a much lesser amount. even if you think you've gotten rid of it by drying it out, that won't kill its spores. even just a tiny bit of exposure to water will cause it to grow back like crazy.

this resonated a lot with me, both as a person and with things throughout my life i've experienced in a very symbolic way.
